Narrative:
Day 2 in Warsaw. Day begins with nice buffet breakfast at our hotel, then Mass at church of martyred Solidarity priest Fr. Jerzy Popieluszko, visit to his tomb and guided tour of his museum. Later, tour of Europe’s finest museum of Jewish history and Culture, Polin and tour of Nowy Świąt, the New Town plus Victory Square (aka Piłsuski Square) for changing of the guard at Tomb of Unknown Soldier) also where Pope John Paull II’s Pentecost homily was turning point to bring down communism for much of Europe, where in defiance of communist officials present, he called down The Holy Spirit on THIS LAND. Day was completed by orientation tour of Old Town, then free time there to explore, shop, imbibe, capped by tradition Polish meal at local restaurant.
